Congressman Chris Van Hollen's (D-MD) monthly public affairs television program, Congressional Report with Congressman Chris Van Hollen, is the 2007 recipient of the Community Television (CTV) of Prince George's County's "Community Access Magic Award" for excellence in television. The award was announced by Sandra F. Peaches, Interim Executive Director of CTV.
Congressional Report received the award in the Public Affairs Category at the 12th Annual Community Access Magic Awards and Scholarship Presentation on July 31st at the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville. The event was designed to recognize notable community and government television programs.
"I am honored to receive the CTV Community Access Magic Award," said Congressman Van Hollen. "It is an honor to serve the residents of Maryland's Eighth Congressional District. I hope this show will help inform viewers of the work that I am doing in Congress on their behalf."
