College Internships

Internships provide an excellent opportunity to see firsthand the legislative process in action. Responsibilities include assisting with incoming mail, working with staff on legislative projects, handling constituent casework, and conducting general office duties. Internships are available in the Capitol Hill office and in the district offices in Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties. 

Students interested in an internship with Congressman Van Hollen’s office for Fall 2008 or Spring 2009 are encouraged to contact the Internship Coordinator in our Rockville office for an application by sending an email to joan.kleinman@mail.house.gov. Applications are no longer available for Summer 2008 internships.
